Mark O’Sullivan
Mark O’Sullivan is a writer, actor, comedian, broadcaster and campaigner. He is best known for for his C4 sitcom ‘Lee and Dean’ which he wrote and starred in. He created ITV drama Tell Me Everything which premiered its second season this year. His Channel 4 documentary ‘My Sexual Abuse: The Sitcom’ broadcast in May this year to rave reviews.
Since the release of the documentary, Mark has started giving talks on sexual abuse, trauma, and healing through creativity. He has recently launched ‘Making Lemonade’, a project designed to share the transformative power of creating something positive out of the difficult, adverse or traumatic things we experience.
The Making Lemonade Podcast is set to launch in Autumn 2024, alongside the formation of a CIC. Mark is now working with several organisations and individuals to raise awareness of sexual abuse and its effects.
Perry Power
Perry is a British actor, writer, and founder of Powerful Books and Powerful Films, organisations dedicated to helping survivors transform their stories into powerful books and films.
In 2017, Perry’s father passed away from a heart attack at the age of 48. This moment became a turning point in Perry’s life, leading him to break his silence about the abuse he experienced as a child by his step-granddad. In the process, he discovered that his father had also been abused (by the same man) and lived his entire life in silence.
Since then, Perry consistently shares his story publicly (reaching over 100 million people worldwide) and encourages survivors to speak out before it’s too late. His advocacy work breaks the stigma around abuse, particularly for men, and highlights the devastating impact that silence can have across generations. Perry is now developing his debut feature film, It Ends With Me, based on his own story. The film explores the relationship between a father and son, both living in silence, and the moment when that cycle is finally broken.
As an ambassador for The Survivors Trust, Perry is committed to amplifying the voices of survivors, supporting access to specialist services, and helping to create a world where no one feels they have to carry their experiences alone.
