The Survivors Trust Pre-trial Therapy Training is a survivor-focussed form of training ensuring that operational practices are conducted ethically and professionally ensuring first disclosures are recorded in line with our legal obligations. In addition, requests for information-sharing made by police, CPS and courts are processed accurately and professionally challenged when necessary.
Our one-day workshop is suitable for practitioners who come into contact with victims-survivors or witnesses to allegations of rape or sexual abuse.
This training develops the learner’s knowledge and understanding of pre-trial processes and how investigations are conducted. Furthermore, it will improve the learner’s confidence and ability to work ethically and safely with their clients from the point they make a report to the police right throughout the criminal justice process until post-trial.
