Survivor's Creation

Poem: Beauty and the Beast

Author's photography of two white roses

Waiting in the dark unable to rest,

a nightmare at best.

A predator the beast

unsuspected in the least

What is happening Beauty wonders,

what can she do?

Does anybody know? Can anyone tell?

How can she escape this living hell?

Angel of God, my guardian dear…

Beast appears again, her worst fear.

She runs in her mind to a place far away

while Beast ravishes his prey.

But the prince never comes

so the hell lingers on…

and Beast never regrets

but Beauty never forgets.
