The Stories of Female African, Caribbean, and Asian Adult Survivors of CSA in the Criminal Justice System
I am looking for 4-6 participants / survivors for my research as part of my Master’s degree programme ‘Counselling and Psychotherapy’ at the University of East London.
The objective of this research is to provide an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges and experiences faced by these survivors and the profound impact of child sexual abuse. It delves into their experiences of trauma and their pursuit of justice, highlighting the intersectionality of race, gender, and cultural factors. The study emphasises the resilience of these women while addressing systemic barriers and societal stigmas that often hinder their healing and access to justice. It advocates for a nuanced understanding of their stories to inform better support systems and policies.
If you have questions or need further details, please don’t hesitate to contact me at U2231046@uel.ac.uk
