SHE UK (Supporting; Healing: Educating)

Area Covered:

We support residents of Nottinghamshire, with our main base in Mansfield, with an outreach service in Worksop.

Introduction

S.H.E. UK offers a range of specialist support services. We provide telephone support to survivors waiting to start with a therapist, long-term 1-to-1 evaluative needs therapy; and a female only, weekly, group called our SHE-roes Lounge and Peer group. We have a highly trained and dedicated staff team ready to support you – we hope you’ll find the courage to take a step in our direction and trust us with your story.

Services Offered

Long-term, trauma informed, one-to-one therapy to support survivors to address the past – either face to face or online
Telephone support (for survivors who have had an assessment but not yet started in therapy) to offer emotional support, coping strategies and signposting to other services to address challenges in the ‘here and now’
Our weekly, female only, SHE-roes Lounge and Peer group where we facilitate self-development courses during the mornings and in the afternoons provide a social space for survivors to come together and have some fun – get creative, play games, enjoy meeting community visitors who provide taster sessions – such as drumming, cake decorating, wreath making, sound bathing and so on.
We also facilitate awareness raising sessions for students, health workers, social workers, mental health professionals and other health professionals.

Services For
